Submissions

The Emory Law Journal is published six times a year.  We are currently accepting submissions for Volume 59, which corresponds to the 2009-2010 academic year.

There are two ways to submit a manuscript for publication.

  1. Electronic Submission: To increase both the efficiency and effectiveness of our article review process, Emory Law Journal strongly prefers electronic submissions via ExpressO
  2. Paper Submissions: Manuscripts can be mailed to:

    Emory Law Journal
    Attn: Executive Articles Editor
    Emory University School of Law
    Gambrell Hall
    Atlanta, Georgia 30322

When we receive your submission, you will be notified by e-mail. We regret that submissions cannot be returned.

Expedited Review

If you have submitted a manuscript for review by the Emory Law Journal and would like to request an expedited review, you have two options.  If your manuscript was submitted via ExpressO, you are encouraged to use that system to enter expedite requests.  You may also contact Nicole Phillis, Executive Articles Editor, by e-mail at articles(at)law.emory.edu or by telephone at 404.727.3623.  Please be sure to include the following information in any e-mail or voicemail message:

  • Deadline for expedited review
  • Name of the Journal(s) that has made a publication offer
  • Best way to reach you

Format

Citations in submissions should follow The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005).  Please use footnotes rather than endnotes.
