Any J.D. student completing the course requirements is eligible to receive the transactional law certificate. No prior clearance is required to be admitted to the program, although contacting the program director or another faculty member of the program is advisable.
Eligibility for another certificate program, such as TI:GER, does not preclude participation in this program. Courses taken to satisfy the TI:GER requirements that are listed as transactional courses may be used to satisfy the requirements of this program.
Any student wishing to receive a waiver of the requirement for either Accounting for Lawyers or Analytical Methods for Lawyers because of prior training must contact the program executive director, Professor Tina Stark, (404) 727-9577; tina.stark (at) emory.edu.
Any student wishing to receive credit in the program for an elective course taken elsewhere in the University should also contact the program director.
PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to elect this concentration, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have complied with all the requirements.
