Standard web structure

The purpose of this page is to provide a basic structural layout for all designs being applied to the Emory Law website.

Taking a look at the ID and Class details in the current site is highly recommended as any design will have to match the class names for content to achieve the desired style. Basically you can have the menu, header, etc. anywhere but the div must be named accordingly so Typo3 knows where to draw it and knows where to place the content.

The purpose of this document is to reduce the amount of time it takes to integrate templates into Typo3. By using the template below, the time to integration is greatly reduced.

You can download the HTML and CSS files here:

Designers may also wish to consult the resources located at Cast Iron Coding's web-site. The article "HTML/CSS for TYPO3 Sites: Best Practices" by Gabe Blair is very helpful.

The purpose of these files is to guide the designer in terms of what structural elements the web page must have, not to impose restrictions. The final design elements must be approved by the Director of Marketing for Emory Law School.
