- May increase your job marketability/future earnings (especially in the government sector)
- Only one extra semester of school (most JD-MPH programs are 3.5 years – however, the Global Health concentration can take 4 yrs depending on how you plan your coursework)
- Opportunity to converse and network with MPH students and faculty
- CONs
- Added expense and limited scholarship opportunities for your MPH degree
- You may feel disconnected from the Law School during your year “in-house” at the School of Public Health
- Need to spend time filling out another graduate school application during your 1L year
