Q: How do I set up an alumni email account?  

Setting up an alumni account is different from arranging to have your @law.emory.edu mail forwarded. Both "accounts" work by forwarding your mail on to another address. If you want to forward your @mail.law.emory.edu to an @alumni.emory.edu account, here's what you do. Go ahead and set up an alumni account first. To do this, go to this page and follow the instructions there.

Q: And, if I'm able to do this, will my law.emory.edu mail be automatically forwarded to my new account?

No, you need to take action to create the alumni account (and point it at your hotmail, yahoo, etc. account). See above. Then you need to fill out the form below (after logging in) and request that you mail be to either the alumni account or some other account, such as gmail or yahoo.
