2010 Tax Policy Symposium

Tax Policy and the Impact of Health Care Reform

The second annual Tax Policy Symposium, "Tax Policy and the Impact of Health Care Reform," will take place Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta.

The symposium is presented by Emory University School of Law, Emory's Goizueta Business School, McKenna Long and Aldridge LLP and BDO Seidman LLP.

About the Symposium

With the cost of proposed health care reform expected to exceed $1 trillion, projected budget deficits as far as the eye can see, and the list of budgetary imperatives growing, our nation faces a budget crisis like no time in our history. The convergence of these events places tremendous pressure on tax policy objectives. Health care reform has become inextricably linked to a number of new tax proposals necessary to fund the overhaul of our health care system, and fundamental tax reform remains a priority. These changes, and many others, will dramatically affect large and small businesses making it imperative for businesses and their advisors to remain informed. We invite you to join us as we examine the changing landscape of tax policy in Washington and the impact of health care reform.
