The Barrister Society has historically been the way that the Emory Law alumni community demonstrated philanthropic leadership at the Law School. Members of the Barrister Society gave gifts of $1,000 or more to the Law School’s Fund for Excellence, and their generosity transformed aspirations into opportunities.

We have renamed the Barrister Society the Wise Heart Society, which is a University-wide giving society, and we encourage everyone who can, to give at this level.

One of Emory Law’s greatest strengths is being part of this world-class University. Our goal in joining with the other schools to create the Wise Heart Society is to leverage the strength and support of the University and recognize the ways in which collectively the leaders of each school enhance the whole. Your gifts to Emory Law will still directly benefit the Law School and our key priorities. Your gift will support a variety of critical needs including financial aid, support for our distinguished faculty, our Center for Professional Development, and much more. We thank all barristers for their past support and hope that former barristers will renew their generosity by joining the Wise Heart Society.
