Biography
Nathaniel E. Gozansky joined the Emory Law faculty in 1967. Since then, he has been a visiting professor at seven other law schools.
His professional service during his tenure at Emory includes a stint as regional director of the Office of Legal Services in 1968, director of the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) from 1970-1972, chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Family and Juvenile Law from 1973-1974, Board of Governors of the Society of American Law Teachers from 1974-1977 and a hearing officer and arbitrator on both the federal and state levels. In addition, he has served as an accreditation inspector of more than 20 ABA-approved law schools since 1972. He also is an active member of the American Bar Association Section on Legal Education.
Professor Gozansky has been an educational leader of legal study tours for judges and lawyers to Kenya, China and the former Soviet Union. He served as associate dean for academic affairs at the law school from 1985-1989 and returned to that position in 1993, returning to his full-time faculty position in 2002. His scholarship is in the fields of family law and legal education.
