Julie Schwartz Instructor, Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy Program LWRAP
Julie Schwartz joins the faculty of the Emory School of law as an instructor in the Legal Writing, Research, and Advocacy Program. Ms. Schwartz graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Politics in 1990. While at Princeton she was a member of the Women’s Varsity Tennis and Women’s Varsity Soccer teams. Ms. Schwartz graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1993. During her third year of law school, she taught legal research and writing to first year students. After law school she practiced law for two years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York, concentrating on general litigation. She also practiced for two years at Rogers & Hardin in Atlanta, handling primarily broker-dealer arbitrations, and for four years at Kirkley & Payne in Atlanta, where she handled general commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense matters. She previously served as an adjunct professor of legal writing at Emory Law School for two years. In 2001, Ms. Schwartz contributed a chapter to The Privilege Against Self-Incrimination in Civil Litigation. |
