Chad F. Slieper
Program Director, Global Health Law and Policy Project
Chad F. Slieper joined Emory Law in 2008 as program director of the Global Health Law and Policy Project. Slieper has focused his work on issues of healthcare, biotechnology and bioethics, and he has been involved in the planning and development of numerous educational events and programs related to these issues.
Prior to joining Emory Law, Slieper was on the faculty of The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Critical Care and Section of Cancer Bioethics. As a clinical ethicist, Slieper provided clinical ethics consultation and ethics education to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, patients and family members, as well as organizational ethics guidance as M.D. Anderson developed and revised various institutional policies. Slieper also served as the interim Chief of the Clinical Ethics Service at M.D. Anderson and was active on a variety of institutional committees. He has published a number of pieces on healthcare ethics issues, including in the American Journal of Bioethics, and he has presented at a variety of local, national and international conferences and meetings, including the annual meeting of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities and the World Cancer Congress.
Slieper earned his bachelor of science in public policy from Georgia Tech and his JD from Emory Law.
