Ruskola Publishes New Edition of Schlesingerís Comparative Law
Emory Law Professor Teemu Ruskola is co-author of the recently published Schlesingerís Comparative Law, with Ugo Mattei and Antonio Gidi. This comparative law casebook, first published in 1950 by Rudolf Schlesinger, was the first casebook on the subject and has remained the leading title in the field.
ďI became involved in the book as part of an effort to produce a new, fully revised edition that expands the perspective of comparative law to include the experiences of the non-Western world, which increasingly occupies the center in a global approach to law,Ē said Ruskola.
This edition incorporates diverse legal materials from Asia, Africa and Latin America. Additionally, it includes an enhanced methodological discussion that brings the book up-to-date with the latest debates in the field.
Ruskola is an expert in Chinese law and comparative legal theory. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and a member of the executive editorial board of the American Journal of Comparative Law.List: <- Back to: News Releases
