Elizabeth Reimels 01L, managing attorney for the Barton Child Law & Policy Clinic, won the 2005 Child Advocate Award from the State Bar of Georgia, Young Lawyers Division, Juvenile Law Committee.
Reimels was lauded for her tireless endeavors to help Georgia’s children, including her legislative advocacy, her leadership as chair of the Celebration of Educational Excellence event, her pro bono activities in Fulton County, and her work as a mentor and trainer for attorneys new to child advocacy.
Before coming to Emory Law School, Reimels was with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society where she served as the Director of the TeamChild Atlanta project that she founded in 2001 as an Equal Justice Works Fellow. She began her child advocacy career as a student attorney with the Barton Clinic and participated in the Emory Summer Child Advocacy Program.List: <- Back to: News Releases
