Emory Law Faculty Ranks Among Top 25 in Scholarly Impact

The Emory Law faculty ranked 23rd in Brian Leiterís Top 25 Law Faculties in Scholarly Impact. The study identifies law faculties with the most scholarly impact as measured by citations from 2005-2009. The rankings and an explanation of the methodology are available here.

In addition to the overall rankings, three Emory Law professors were ranked as high-impact faculty in certain specialization areas. Martha A. Fineman, Robert W. Woodruff Professor of Law, was ranked first and Barbara Woodhouse, L.Q.C. Lamar Professor of Law and co-director of the Barton Child Law and Policy Center, was ranked fifth in family law. Howard Abrams was named a runner-up in tax law.
