Interim Dean Frank S. Alexander recently spoke with Ann Richards, a Mott Foundation Communications Officer, during his visit to Flint, Michigan, about his work on affordable housing, urban redevelopment, and state and local government laws. Alexander helped develop the Genesee County Land Bank and worked for statewide legislation that made it possible for Michigan officials to use land banks for community planning and development. Alexander is the author of Land Bank Authorities: A Guide for the Creation and Operation of Local Land Banks.
The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation collaborates on projects that show promise of long-term, positive impact for the greater Flint community. Through its programs, the Foundation seeks to fulfill its mission of supporting efforts that promote a just, equitable, and sustainable society.
