Buzbee Testifies Before Congress
Emory Law professor William Buzbee was invited to testify before the U.S. Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee regarding the Clean Water Act and issues related to wetlands, rivers and other water bodies. The hearing took place Thursday, Dec. 13, in Washington, D.C.
Professor Buzbee also is scheduled to testify before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure regarding the Clean Water Restoration Act of 2007. The hearing will take place in January 2008.
Professor Buzbee is known for his expertise in the areas of land use and environmental law and has been recognized for his writing on these topics. In 2006, he testified before the U.S. Senate’s Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife and Water, providing his expert legal opinion on the implications of a Supreme Court Clean Water Act ruling.List: <- Back to: News Releases
