Ahdieh and Carney Cited in Delaware Amicus Brief
Emory Law professors Robert Ahdieh and William Carney were cited by the State of Delaware in an amicus brief filed in connection with the Securities and Exchange Commission proxy access rule. The brief, which was submitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, argues that the SEC’s proxy access rule is contradictory to Delaware’s newly adopted statute governing proxy access.
Ahdieh was cited for his 2005 article, “From “Federalization” to “Mixed Governance” in Corporate Law: A Defense of Sarbanes-Oxley,” which was featured in the Buffalo Law Review. Carney was cited for his 1998 article in the Southern California Law Review, “The Production of Corporate Law.”
