Welcome to the Emory Immigration Law Society Website.
The Emory Immigration Law Society (formerly the Immigrant Assistance Project) is an Emory University law student organization dedicated to meeting the need for greater awareness, support and dissemination of timely information that relates to current federal immigration laws and policies to members of the Emory University community and those individuals seeking asylum, temporary or permanent residency, or citizenship in the United States. We seek to bring together immigration law practitioners and judges, law students, and community advocates to serve the growing Metropolitan Atlanta immigrant population by
- promoting the practice of immigration law;
- facilitating ties between local immigrant and refugee advocacy organizations and Emory law students through volunteer opportunities; and
- educating the Emory Law School community regarding the implications of federal immigration policies and local and statewide responses to growing immigrant communities.
