Questions will undoubtedly come up after Orientation is over and the school year begins. ACADEMIC ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Academic Assistance Program is intended to help students fulfill their academic potential and achieve their maximum level of academic success, through group and individual advice and instruction.  The program is open to all students; participation is voluntary, as a general rule, but required for students on academic probation.  Dean Brokaw and the Office of Student Affairs also offer the "Studying Smarter" series on academic performance topics such as case briefing, taking notes in class, creating course outlines, studying for exams, and exam writing skills.

The Emory Law School Office of Development and University Relations is located on the first floor of Gambrell Hall. The Development and Alumni Relations staff work to generate funds and friends for Emory Law School. They work to:
Oversee all Emory Law fundraising, including oversight for student fundraising;
work with alumni leaders and advisory boards, including the Law School Council, an the Law Alumni Association; sponsor many special events, including the Named Scholars reception, the Distinguished Alumni Awards, and Law Alumni Weekend;
coordinate the law school's extensive alumni mentor program for students;
provide advice and alumni contact information for student organizations planning activities that involve alumni, and help identify potential speakers or other resources; produce a monthly e-newsletter for alumni and work closely with the Communications Office to publish the Emory Lawyer, our alumni magazine;
advise the Student Alumni Association, a group of students with a special interest in fostering good relationships between Emory Law School and its alumni.

FIELD PLACEMENT PROGRAM

The Field Placement Program offers second- and third-year students an invaluable opportunity to gain practical experience working in a variety of legal settings, including federal and state agencies, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, public interest organizations, and private corporations. First- year students must apply and interview during the spring semester if interested in a placement for the fall of their second year. Professor Pratt will distribute information about the application procedure.

The Information Technology Department is the main source of computing and software services and support for the law school. The Information Technology Dept. will answer questions about:
