Southeast Regional Meet

Emory’s  Center for Transactional Law and Practice is proud to host the Southeast Regional Meet for the 2013 National Transactional LawMeet® (Meet) on Friday, February 15th.  The Meet is the country’s premier interscholastic competition for law students interested in transactional practice.  It is designed to give law students  hands-on experience in developing and honing transactional lawyering skills.

The following schools will be competing in the Southeast Regional Meet:

  • Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School
  • Emory University School of Law
  • Loyola University New Orleans College of Law
  • Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center
  • University of Georgia School of Law
  • University of Tennessee College of Law
  • Washington and Lee University School of Law
  • William & Mary Law School

74 teams from around the country will participate in one of six Regional Meets hosted by Emory Law, Drexel University, Earle Mack School of Law, Northwestern University Law School, UCLA Law School, University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and Western New England University School of Law.  The top two participating teams from each of the six Regional Meets will advance to the National Meet.  The National Meet takes place on March 28 and March 29, 2013 in Philadelphia.

Special instructions
- Please identify yourself as a guest of the ECRB: Transactional Law Meet, under Reservation ID 20006023021 to reserve rooms.  Each guest can reserve a maximum of three rooms, with a credit card to guarantee the reservations. If guests require more than three rooms, we require a one-night room and tax deposit, for each room, which will be non-refundable.

Hotel Policies - Check-in time is 4:00pm. Should rooms become clean and available before that time, guests may be allowed to check-in earlier. Check-out time is 12:00pm.

Hotel Parking - On-site self-parking is complimentary for guests of the hotel and guests of your event.

Shuttle Service - The Emory Conference Center Hotel has a complimentary six passenger shuttle that serves guests of the Emory Conference Center Hotel and Emory Inn. This is an on call shuttle that does not take reservations. The shuttle is limited to a mile and a half radius from the hotels. If you require transportation for your guests, please contact Leotis Watson at 404-712-6059 or lwatson(at)ecch.emory.edu for assistance in securing third party transportation.
