Janet D. Hutchinson, Esq., Assistant Dean for Career Services
Dean Hutchinson manages the Office of Career Services (OCS) and has primary responsibility for personnel, budgeting, office policies and procedures, programming, data collection, internal and external marketing and strategic planning. Additionally, she advises current and prospective students, as well as alumni.
Prior to Emory, Dean Hutchinson served as the Attorney Recruiting and Development Manager for the Atlanta office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP. Her background also includes positions as Senior Director of OCS and as Associate Director of the Center for Career Strategy and Advancement at Northwestern University School of Law. Before entering the legal recruiting field, Dean Hutchinson was an associate at Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, LLP in Raleigh and Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, where she focused her practice on venture capital and health care transactions.
Dean Hutchinson received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law and her B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University.
