Employer Recruiting


The Office of Career Services coordinates a number of interview programs for Emory Law students.

Since many legal employers are unable to hire until a position becomes available, employers recruiting at these programs tend to be larger law firms, government agencies or corporations who can hire months in advance. The following are recruiting programs that were available to Emory students in Summer/Fall 2008 and Spring 2009, with links to lists of participating employers:

Employer Geographic Distribution

Employers participating in our major fall and spring programs came from 30 states, 88 municipalities and the District of Columbia.

  • Georgia: 35.6%  (Metro Atlanta  92.7%, Other Georgia 7.3%)
  • South Atlantic: 21.7% (DC – 45.9%, DE, FL, MD, NC, SC, VA)
  • Middle Atlantic: 14.9% (NY – 70.1%, NJ, PA)
  • East North Central: 6.6% (IL, MI, OH)  
  • East South Central: 5.6% (AL, KY, TN) 
  • Pacific: 5.2% (CA, WA)
  • West South Central: 4.4% (OK, TX)
  • New England: 2.6% (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI)
  • West North Central: 2.2% (CO, MN, MO)
  • Mountain: 1.2% (AZ, NV, NM)
