Brown 99L named Court of Appeals justice by Texas Governor Perry
Ada Brown 99L has been named justice for Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas by Gov. Rick Perry.
The appointment was announced Sept. 3, and Brown’s term will expire at the next general election. She is a civil litigator who formerly served as both judge and prosecutor in Dallas County. She is a past board member of the Texas Public Safety Commission and Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education, past chair of the Dallas Bar Association Criminal Justice Committee and a teacher for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Brown has also taught as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University School of Law, and is a volunteer editorial columnist for the Dallas Morning News.
