The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has created the Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. (LMJ) Scholarship Program, which is open to college seniors who have been accepted into law school. Named after the founder of MCCA, the Lloyd M. Johnson Scholarship promotes academic excellence and diversity in law schools by awarding ten newly accepted law students from disadvantaged backgrounds with scholarships to help defray their education expenses. The LMJ Scholarships will provide ten selected students with $10,000 a year for three years. In addition to the ten selected scholars three runner-ups will also receive a one-time award of $10,000 to assist with their first-year expenses.

The Latham Diversity Scholars Program is designed to increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers in global law firms. To be eligible you must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school. You must have successfully completed your first year of a full-time JD program. Other factors considered may include a candidate's ability to contribute to the diversity objectives of global law firms, success in overcoming any obstacles or challenges faced in deciding to choose law as a profession, academic and leadership achievements, and desire to practice in a global law firm environment. This West Coast law firm established a scholarship to increase diversity in the legal profession and within their law firm. The recipient must commit to work at their Sacramento office as a summer associate after his or her first year of law school. Milbank Diversity Scholarships
The firm provides Diversity Scholarships to create opportunities to bring about a more diverse workplace.
