Customizing Your JM
The JM curriculum is intentionally flexible to allow students to customize their course work to fit their professional goals. At the start of the program, a two-credit-hour foundational course provides an introduction to the basic elements of U.S. law, including nature of both common law and statutory/regulatory law, and the case method. With this foundation, you will join students from Emory Law’s JD and LLM programs and participate in classes and course work alongside these students. The balance of your JM curriculum will be comprised of elective courses based on your individual areas of interest and expertise.
JM Specialization Tracks
JM students can work with a JM program adviser to develop a course of study suited to meet their personal and professional goals. We have created sample JM course selections for working professionals from various industries or areas of specialty. These are guidelines that can be customized for your own unique interests.
