View Video of Emory Law Panel on Georgia, Florida Immigration Law
The Supreme Court is considering Arizona’s stance on immigration and whether states have the right to create their own laws that affect immigrants.
A recent panel discussion sponsored by Emory’s Immigration Law Society and Federalist Society, the Georgia-Alabama Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association addressed immigration, specifically Georgia and Alabama laws and their legal impact.
Moderator for the discussion was Jeremy Redmon, an Atlanta-Journal Constitution reporter who covers politics and immigration. Panelists for the March 22 forum included Georgia Rep. Scott Holcomb; Samuel Addy, director and research economist at the Center for Business and Economic Research; Mary Giovagnoli, director of the Immigration Policy Center of the American Immigration Council in Washington, D.C.; Alabama Sen. Billy Beasley; and Emory Law Professor Polly Price 86C 86G.
