Vertinsky to Join Emory Law Faculty
Liza Vertinsky, an accomplished intellectual property lawyer, will be joining the faculty at Emory Law this fall as an assistant professor. She will be teaching a course on intellectual property licensing.
Vertinsky joins Emory from the law firm of Wolf, Greenfield and Sacks in Boston, Mass., where she was an associate in the Biotechnology, Chemical and IP Transactions Practice Groups. At the firm, Vertinsky worked with a variety of science and technology clients, including biotechnology and pharmacy companies, and computer hardware and software manufacturers. She has particular experience in assisting entrepreneurs and emerging companies with strategic issues involving the development, acquisition and leveraging of intellectual property.
Vertinsky recently was named to the prestigious Boston Business Journal's "40 Under 40" list for her contributions to the legal profession and her community, and has been recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in the field of intellectual property.
Vertinsky received her J.D. from Harvard Law School. She also holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.List: <- Back to: News Releases
