Spitz Joins Emory Law as Visiting Professor
Emory Law welcomes Laura Spitz as visiting professor for the 2008-2009 academic year. Professor Spitz serves as associate professor of law at the University of Colorado School of Law where she focuses on contracts, international business transactions, and bankruptcy.
Prior to joining the Colorado law faculty in 2005, Professor Spitz studied law at Cornell Law School, the European University Institute, and the University of British Columbia. A recipient of several fellowships, including a John M. Olin Foundation Fellowship, a British Columbia Law Foundation Graduate Fellowship, and a Gender, Sexuality, and Family Project Scholarship, Professor Spitzís research focuses on the effects of transnational economic integration and trade liberalization on national regulation and norm harmonization in North America.
Professor Spitz has practiced law in Vancouver, BC, has taught commercial transactions at the University of New Mexico, and has clerked at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.List: <- Back to: News Releases
