Freer Serves as Senior Scholar at University of Illinois Federal Courts Workshop
Emory Law Professor Richard D. Freer was one of four professors invited to present at the University of Illinois College of Law's third annual Junior Faculty Federal Courts Workshop, held on Oct. 7-8 in Chicago. The workshop invites four senior scholars to comment on papers by 16 junior faculty from throughout the United States. Faculty from throughout the country are invited to attend the workshop.
Freer was joined by Professors Martin Redish and James Pfander of Northwestern University and Professor Louise Weinberg of the University of Texas.
Additionally, Freer's one-volume treatise, Civil Procedure (Aspen 2d ed. 2009), has been adopted by Professor Jose Maria Tesheiner of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in a course on American civil procedure. Freer will be lecturing to the class via distance learning on Oct. 21 and 28, focusing on American discovery and pleading practice and aggregate litigation, including the class action.List: <- Back to: News Releases
