Interim Dean Frank S. Alexander and Professor Jeffrey Pennell are featured in articles on housing issues and estate planning. Alexander discusses a case recently decided by the United States Supreme Court involving property seizures. In writing the majority opinion in the case of Jones V. Flowers, Chief Justice John G. Pennell is featured in an article on the 17th Annual Spring Symposia, sponsored by the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego to be held May 4. Pennell will deliver the keynote address, "Hot Topics in Estate Planning," which will cover a range of issues including discount valuation issues, fixing defective deduction trusts, and retention of investment trustee power provisions.
