01-10-09
Emory Law student Andres Velarde 10L is the recipient of the Sidney B. Williams Jr. Intellectual Property Law Scholarship, presented by the American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation (AIPLEF).
Velarde—who is actively involved in Emory Law's Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results, or TI:GER, program—is a two-time recipient of this scholarship.
The goal of these scholarships is to increase the number of under-represented minority groups serving as intellectual property law practitioners in law firms and the intellectual property law departments in corporation, according to the AIPLEF.
