Emory Law Opens Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives
Emory Law officially opened the new Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives on Monday, July 2, with the launch of its Web site, www.law.emory.edu/diversity.
The Web site provides prospective and current students, faculty and staff with information and updates on diversity and community news and events at Emory Law. It also will feature faculty and student profiles and information about special projects sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives.
Emory Law established the Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives in the spring of 2007 to strengthen the development of programming and the engagement in issues related to diversity and community building. The Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives will work collaboratively with other departments, along with Emory law students, faculty, staff and alumni, concerning issues that are important to underrepresented groups in the law school community and within the legal profession.
Lynell Cadray serves as Chief Diversity Officer, leading Emory Law in its diversity and community initiatives, and acting as a liaison with Emory University. In addition to this role, Cadray serves as Assistant Dean for Admission and Financial Aid at Emory Law.
The Office of Diversity and Community Initiatives is located on the first floor of Gambrell Hall, Suite 120 with office hours from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. For more information, contact 404.712.1173 or visit www.law.emory.edu/diversity.List: <- Back to: News Releases
