Emory Law Hosts Symposium on Lawrence v. Texas
Emory Law, the Emory American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) Student Chapter and Emory Gay and Lesbian Advocates (EGALA) present a symposium on the fifth anniversary of Lawrence v. Texas, April 11, from noon to 7:30 p.m., in Tull Auditorium. The event also will be webcast live here.
Speakers and panelists will discuss key constitutional and legal issues affecting the equality, liberty and daily lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. A keynote address will be given by Paul Smith, partner at Jenner & Block and the Supreme Court litigator who argued Lawrence v. Texas in cooperation with Lambda Legal.
A reception sponsored by Alston & Bird will follow the day’s program.
